QUESTIONS ABOUT THE BOATS / FISHING

Yes, we are certified.
This means that since January 2021 you have been allowed to take 18 kg of fish fillet / fish products with you when you leave the country.
However, this only applies to a stay in a registered facility and only twice per calendar year. Purchased fish are not covered by this rule.
You have the obligation to register your daily catches. We provide you with a registration portal for this purpose. At the end of your trip you will receive a legitimation document from us that you have to present to customs (only on request) when you leave the country.

On our brygge you will find 2 filleting houses with metal tables and tiles for hygienic filleting and a large, accessible freezer.

When it comes to fishing equipment, we decided on Eisele. Thus we can provide you with high quality fishing equipment. Our selection ranges from various baits, rods and reels to halibut snares and the like.

Please let us know if you want to borrow something.

We generally recommend the following:

For easy fishing for cod and coalfish:
Spinning rod: 100 - max.300gr. (strong backbone)
Reel: Stationary reel with a caliber between 3000 and 3500. The cord must be round braided. The load capacity should be around 10 kg.

For heavy fishing for cod, halibut etc .:
30 lbs sea rod with SIC rings and cross ends. You need the cross termination for the gimbal, which will save you a lot of back pain.

The rod should be quite stiff (bait + water depth = immense pressure).

Multi-role:
The roll should take at least 400m of a round braided cord. We have already seen halibut escapes, in which the fish tore easily 200m from the reel like a steam train. A line counter is ideal for fishing 2-3m above the bottom or for targeted schooling. You should use a good round braided cord as a line. With a load capacity of 22-30kg. But that's a matter of taste.

Rubber fish:
Don't be afraid of big baits!
A 25cm rubber tail is a small appetizer for a 12 KG cod.
The rubber fish should have a strong tail blade because of the shock wave.
Heads suitable for the body between 200-500gr. - available e.g. from Royberjig.

Pirk:
For cod and saithe on the underwater mountains in about 10-20 m water depth (halibut is always to be expected): pirk of 80-150gr. For cod, coalfish and co. (20-60m) deep down: pirk of 150-200gr. Grundpilken or just above (halibut, cod, monkfish, wolffish, etc. 60-120m): pirk of 200-400gr.

Small items:
Strong triplets, pegs with pendants, snap rings, a sharp knife, saltwater-resistant pliers, etc. Don't forget the GIMBAL. Rag for fingers. Sunglasses hat, sunscreen, etc.
